Parents of our 8th grade students,
Please click on the link below to see the flyer that was sent home with your students.
This flyer details that your child has an opportunity to attend a high school fair on Feb. 8th from 9:30 - 11.
We will be going to the Field House located at Hillhouse High School. Every high school that is available by applying will be there to speak to 8th graders.
If you have any questions or concerns please contact Ms. Holcomb at 475-220-3123.
All students in grades 1-7 are working on becoming fluent in math facts. They have set personal goals for learning addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, equivalent fractions and solving equations. Report card conferences are a good time to see how you can help your child reach their goals.
Our 8th graders will be taking a field trip to Quinnipianc University on May 24th from 9:30 - 1:00. They will be given an oppurtunity to speak with administrators, staff members, and students from the New Haven High School they will be attending in the fall.
Your 8th grader will be told expectations of their future High School as well as details of their high school schedule, dress codes and other great oppurtunities that are available. Staff members will be running through some team building activities so that students can form bonds with other future freshman classmates. Your 8th grader will be given the oppurtunity to ask questions if they have any as well.
If you have any concerns or do not want your 8th grader to go on this trip please notify Ms. Holcomb at 475-220-3123.
Please click on the green link below to see the flyer that will be given to all 8th graders to bring home.
