The trip to Washington D.C is fast approaching! Final payments are due by February 12, 2016... Do not miss out on this FANTASTIC opportunity to explore the history of our nation and see where change happens!

We are now having the Snowflake Ball on January 22, 2016 from 6-8:30 p.m in order to help raise money for our Boston and D.C trips. The cost will be $3. There will be music, dancing, and snacks for sale! Make sure you wear all white as well as your dancing shoes! This will be a night to remember!!

Protrude- to (literally) stick out (ex: as from the ground)

Masquerade – a false show or disguise; make-belief

Stealthy- behaving, done, or made in a cautious manner so as not to be seen or heard; sly

Intricate- very complicated or detailed.

Placate- Make (someone) less angry or hostile; soothe

Lithe-(of a person’s body) think and graceful; slender.

Jettison- Throw or drop something from a plane or ship (can also be used rhetorically: to jettison someone out of a room or house)

Traditional- long established as in routines, dynamics, or celebrations

We are getting right back into our routine with our vocabulary words. We are now on list 13. Remember the homework will always be the same: sentences (all 10 words), short narrative (7 words), Frayer model (5 words from the list), and poem (using 5 words). Remember to study!!!
